2.5 IP Address Lookup

To look up the 2N® Indoor Talk IP address, take the following steps:

  • Connect the device to the power supply (if connected, disconnect and reconnect it).
  • Wait for the sound signal.
  • Press the front panel lock button for 5 seconds within a 10s timeout.
  • The device reads its IP address.
  • If the address is 0.0.0.0, it means that the device has not obtained the IP address from the DHCP server.



Note

  • Press the button sequence within 30 seconds after the sound signal for security reasons. The pressing timeout is 2 s at most.


Dynamic/Static IP Address Switching

To switch the 2N® Indoor Talk dynamic/static IP address, take the following steps:

  • Connect the device to the power supply (if connected, disconnect and reconnect it, or press Reset).
  • Wait for the first sound signal.
  • Press the front panel call hang-up button for 5 seconds within a 10s timeout.
  • The switching is indicated with an audio message.
  • The following options are available:
    • Static IP enabled: the static address has been enabled
    • DHCP enabled: obtaining the address from DHCP has been enabled



The following network parameters will be set after restart if the static IP address is enabled:

  • IP address: 192.168.1.100
  • Network mask: 255.255.255.0
  • Default gateway: 192.168.1.1

If DHCP is enabled, DHCP will be activated after the message is played and the IP address will be played automatically when received by the device.
